FAQ

How do I reserve my session?

A minimum donation of $75 is required. Donate directly to Friends of the Animal Village through our donation page: https://donorbox.org/home-for-the-howlidays. Once you receive your donation confirmation email, enter the receipt number on our registration form, sign the contract, and complete the confirmation process. Your donation alone does not guarantee a session. Your spot is only confirmed once you’ve signed the contract and confirmed your reservation through our registration form, so please be sure to complete every step!

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! We’d love to include your dog in your portraits. Other dogs will be around, so please only bring your pup if they’re comfortable around other dogs and people. If your dog is anxious in these settings, we kindly ask that you leave them at home to help keep everyone comfortable and safe.

How many people can join my session?

Please limit your group to five people so we can make the most of your 10-minute session.

When should I arrive, and where can I park?

Parking is available in the studio’s small lot, but spaces are limited. Please arrive no more than five minutes before your scheduled session and leave promptly afterward to make room for the next family.

When will my photos be delivered?

Your final edited photos will be delivered within one week of your session through an online gallery, where you can view and download them.

Can I volunteer?

Yes! Please email claret@claretalcala.com if you're interested in volunteering for this event! We’re looking for volunteers to help with:

  • Parking: Two volunteers to direct traffic and coordinate parking as families arrive and leave.
  • Guest check-in: Two volunteers to welcome families, guide them inside, and help in the waiting area.
  • Photo assistance: Two volunteers to help get dogs’ attention with treats, toys, and plenty of enthusiasm.
  • Social media: A volunteer to capture behind-the-scenes photos and videos throughout the day.

What are the volunteer shifts?

Parking, check-in, and photo assistant shifts are 8:30 AM–12:30 PM and 12:30 PM–5:30 PM. The social media role has a flexible schedule. Please email claret@claretalcala.com if you're interested in volunteering for this event!
